work countdown: 13 days (I think)
Those are 13 actual work days, I believe. I started cleaning junk out of my desk and filing cabinet today. I made sure to save all of the useful junk (like the 67 packs of tape and boxes and boxes of staples) for the lovely young lady who will be starting in August. Seriously, I don’t know how I accumulated so much stuff in just 4 years. I guess most teachers are pack rats out of the knowledge that if something is free you better take advantage of it.
It’s crazy that I have less than 2 weeks at this job that I worked so hard in college to prepare for. I keep trying to imagine what it will be like having a job where I can take a bathroom break whenever I need to and I won’t be responsible for the well-being of SO MANY little people for the whole day. I can’t believe that I’ll be spending my days with adults. I’m so so excited.
