One doesn't *become* a Southern lady. You either are, or you're not. No amount of acclimation will make up for a lack of upbringing based on bare feet, good manners, and the mastery of puddling rather than sweating.

This just won't do. Try and look on the bright side of things and realize that while there will always be things that we want to change, there are always things that we cannot change. The good in life is balanced out by the bad, and we are never given more the handle in life then we can bear. I always like to ask myself if the current problem I am facing is:
a) going to be remembered in one month
b) going to be remembered in one year
c) going to be remembered in the next decade or
d) going to be remembered at my golden wedding anniversary (and consequently replayed on one of those cheesy retrospects. The kind where you look back, laugh nervously, and quickly change the subject.)

If a, b, and c, aren't going to happen the problem isn't worth stressing out. Keep your chin up, and let us know if there is anything that we can do.
