Heart = Warmed
JR knows I’ve been sick lately, and whenever I go into his room to get him up for the day or from his nap he says, “You feelin’ good today?” with his brow all furrowed in concern.
I think I’ll keep him.

A few things:
1. I know you all have probably seen this already.
2. I normally don’t like things that make such sweeping generalizations, but…yeah.
3. I don’t ever shriek like that.
4. This dude has PERFECTED that awkward thing that a woman does with her arm while digging through her giant bag.
Anyway, enjoy.
…that one day I will be able to use the restroom without *someone* standing outside the door, commenting on how I take a “weally, weally long tiiiiiime.”
I’ve spent the last 10(ish) days battling a sore-throat-sinus-attack-chest-cold-thing. I haven’t really been resting; I’ve mostly been walking around moaning and coughing up…things that are gross. I finally went to the doctor on Monday and was put on one of them fancy Z-pack things and ordered to load up on Mucinex. Oh and to actually take a nap.
Since I’ve been doing that, I haven’t really had it in me to put together a coherent post about anything, so here are some bullets from my mind. YOU MIGHT CALL THEM MIND BULLETS.
JR,
Wait, what? WHAT!? What. How are we here already?
At 2:41pm today, you will be officially 3 years old. And I’ll probably cry in the corner for a little while because WHERE DID MY BAYBEEEE GO?
Well, I guess I do know. He turned into a boy — a smart and sweet and kind and gentle and playful and hilarious and infuriating and humbling boy who is, without a doubt, the best thing to ever happen to us.
We love you, beautiful birthday boy. Thank you for being ours.
Love,
Mama
I’ve loved Ron Livingston since Office Space. And then I began to passionately love him when I watched Band of Brothers.
Thanks to the video below, it is now a full-fledged obsession.
Ron Livingston, if I ever meet you, I will kiss you. I WILL KISS YOU ON THE FACE.
I’ve mentioned my love for Regina Spektor before. I don’t know what is about her, but I just find her to be fantastic.
I’ve been listening to her song “On the Radio” a lot lately. And by “a lot” I mean “repeatedly.” There’s this one part that just gets to me in the best possible way, so I thought I’d share it with you.
This is how it works
You’re young until you’re not
You love until you don’t
You try until you can’t
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath
No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else’s heart
Pumping someone else’s blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don’t get harmed
But even if it does
You’ll just do it all again
Oh man, it just kills me. Kills me dead.
What’s killing you dead (in a good way) lately?
