moving on

We just finished up our last day of school, my last day of school for for a long time.  I was fine saying goodbye to the kids.  You get kind of used to the fact that you probably won’t see the kids again.  However, it was very hard saying goodbye to my colleagues.  I’ve learned so much from all of them.  I will say that there was A LOT of ugly crying in the car on the way home.

Goodbye, Reams Elementary.  I love you!

  1. We love you too… and practice on a smooshable of your own! (I said practice, until your really ready!… of course you can never really be ready) but practice is good!

  2. I have to relate here. My wife and I are moving back to Richmond next weekend where I’ll be working on the network at St. Catherine’s School.

I currently work at Stuart Hall School in Staunton. Our kids have been gone for a couple of weeks but it was really hard saying goodbye to many of them. There was nothing like having 15 middle schoolers tackle me with a group bear hug after they heard we were leaving.
