Ink watch 2k8: 38 weeks

I feel as if I’m carrying a big ball of concrete around in my gut.

Picture after the jump…

Yes, it looks as if I’m cradling my bosoms in this picture. I wanted you to fully appreciate the slope of this belly. Also, I think the big, blue vein and overall shine of everything show that I am stretched to capacity. By the way, those lines aren’t stretch marks. More than likely they are sheet marks leftover from me taking a nap. Napping. It’s what I try to do with all of my spare time now because I am well aware that both of those (the napping and the free time) will not be seen for a very long time.

Anyway, I had my doctor’s appointment today. Still not dilated but I am now 60% effaced. So,we’re making some progress. My doctor said while it could be any day now, he thinks I’ve still got a couple more weeks. He also assured me that I’ve done “beautifully” during this pregnancy.

Did I also mentioned that I didn’t gain a single, blessed pound this week? Good thing because I might have lost it had I seen that little bar move up.

C’mon, baby. We want to meet you!

  2. So is this the first and last baby of ross & val, or just the start of more to come?

  3. Oh I’m sure there will be more. Overall, this pregnancy has been pretty easy, despite all of my complaining.

  4. Hi Val, GoogleReader led me your way!
Hope the last few weeks (days?!?) go well and that you’re getting a decent amount of sleep.
    Very exciting!

  5. I think my favorite aspect of the photos is watching the tattoo – which initially seemed large, relative to your teeny self – fade into insignificance. You really are All Baby.
