Home
We got home at around 2pm today. We are all very happy but very exhausted.
Overall I’m feeling ok. While the process of getting a C-section is a piece of cake, the whole recovery part is a bit frustrating. I’m moving very slowly and constantly need to remind myself that while a C-section gives you something as wonderful as a baby, it is also a major surgery.
By the way, do you guys remember how I had a baby that weighed over 10 pounds? WTF.
You should also know that I lost 20 pounds in three days.
I’ll post my version of the birth story soon. Until then, here’s a picture of Jack and I being introduced:

I can’t wait to meet him!!! He is so SO cute. Glad you’re doing ok, despite the whole cutting open of your body
Please call or email if you need anything at all!
Ditto on everything Anitra said! And don’t worry, there is some major booze coming your way, you’ve totally earned a stiff drink, lady!
Congraulations again! I know you are crazy happy.
You guys have a good Thanksgiving and we’ll see you all when we get home. Excellent job. Very brave. Only job worth doing in life. Just seeing I.V.s in someone’s arm almost made me pass out.
So cute!! Of course, you were a super cute toddler, so I wasn’t counting on Ross to mess that up.
(Kidding, Ross!)
Congratulations on your new arrival! Welcome to the “I had to have a c-section to get out my 10 pound kid club” – Finn was 10 pounds 6 ounces when he was born and I had to do the whole c-section thing. the only draw back was the day after when they came to take the surgical tape off – grrr. I have found that big babies are typically not as fussy as some of their smaller counterparts and I am pretty sure those newborn diapers you bought before he was born are now useless along with the 0-3 month clothing.
