Eats for the week!
It’s been a thrift week, guys. Check it out.
This week’s menu…
Monday: Curry chicken and rice
Tuesday: Leftover lentil burgers (and tots!)
Wednesday: Double-crust bean pie
Thursday: Chicken and avacado salsa
Friday: Some kind of leftover concoction
Grand total? $39.52.
We’re back in action, Jacksons!
Here’s your Deal Of The Week…
Richmond boys need their brew. Don’t worry. It’s like $3 for a six-pack.
And your sad, disappointing Budget Buster…
Ross was convinced you couldn’t buy bananas in anything other than a complete bunch at Kroger. So we jumped on the $.90/lb free-standing bananas at Ellwood Thompson’s. But, turns out Kroger had a selection of non-bunch bananas for $.70/lb. Oh well.

Sounds like a tasty week! I always tear apart and make my own bunches at Kroger. I refuse to buy more than 3 bananas at a time.
Seriously, I’ve pulled off one when i wanted a quick snack.
They were organic bananas. And last week at Kroger the only organic bananas they had were bunches wrapped in saran. But not this week I guess.
EF THE MAN.
Avocado Salsa? Double crust bean pie? Serious yum!
Ross is the best grocery poser on the Internet.
I break apart the bunches all the time. I also buy them mostly green, because they turn ripe so fast and I never eat them that fast.
Ah yes, the Pabst Blue Ribbon beer - a staple in all homes.
The avocado salsa sounds awesome.
yes, i will need the recipes for the salsa and lentil burgers, thanks!
and are you still doing the veggie share thing? i thought that was awesome and would do it if i was more than 1 person.
