Friday: Up at 7:30 to nurse the baby. Worked, nursed, played with the baby. Repeat several times. Very happy to see Ross come home. Dinner. Watched some Battlestar. Bed.
Saturday: Up at 7:30 to nurse the baby. Showering and what not. Nursed and then headed over to Ross’s parents house so JR’s grandpa could actually see that this child is awake sometimes. Had a nice lunch and took a great walk around the pond. Home. Left the baby with Ross. Headed out to Goodwill to see if they had anything to fit my giant child. They didn’t. Home to find Ross with screaming baby. Nursed the baby again. Went back out to run bulletins for church. Home again to the same Ross with the same screaming baby. Settled in for a baby and mama nap. Nursed again. Ate a late dinner. Watched some Battlestar. Nursed for what felt like the 80 millionth time. Bed.
Sunday: Baby woke up early from having a screwed up day the day before. Nursed and ate breakfast. Showered. Nursed again. Gave the baby a sponge bath. Played a bit. Headed out to Ashland to meet family for brunch at the Henrey Clay Inn. Was able to nurse the baby in an actual room rather than in the corner covering us with a blanket. Ate brunch. Headed to church. Came home to this happening in my front yard:

Yes, that’s a RIDICULOUSLY drunk dude (wearing a UVA shirt HA!) surrounded by the po-po. Fun times. Put the baby down for a nap. Continued to deal with the baby’s recovery from his screwed up day as he began what would turn into a 45-minute screamfest. Finally managed to get him calmed down as I did some work for church. Did some work for RVANews. Nursed again. Put the baby to bed. Forgot to eat dinner. Hoping for bed to be soon but it probably won’t happen.
Oy.
Friday: Woke up at 7:30 after approximately 45 minutes of sleep thanks to my ticking brain. Fed the baby. Got everyone ready to leave. Dropped the baby off with his grandmother and headed to work. Spent the day in a complete fog not getting anything done and freaking out about everything in the world because I was So. Tired. Back to pick up the baby at around 3:30. Home to nurse. Decided that I, just like the baby, needed a nap, so we took one together. Dinner. Puttering. Got some decent sleep.
Saturday: Up at 7:30 to feed the baby. Family playtime and cuddles. Put the baby down for a nap. Went back to bed myself. Lunch with the in-laws. Home to putter. Watched some TV. Bed.

Have a great week!

Back home for dinner and more Battlestar.

Passed the baby over to his dad so I could get a quick rest. Off to church. Chatted with lots of friends. Quick dinner. Finally took down the Christmas decorations. Nursed the baby. Stripped him down to just his diaper and let him play on the bed. Lots of smiles and cuddling. Doing a little bit of work. Possibly a snack and shower soon. Hopefully not to bed too late.
Have a wonderful week!

Back to bed.

Went out to run the bulletins for church and stop by Target for diapers and more Christmas lights so we could finally get the tree finished. Picked up lunch and went home. Shower. Nursed and played with the baby. Church. Home to eat dinner. Nursed again. Crossed fingers that we could get through this evening without enduring Jackson’s wicked fussy time. We seem to be doing ok. Decorate the tree. Watched some of Bill Cosby: Himself with Ross downstairs. Had to eventually go upstairs because OMG the dogs won’t let you do anything downstairs without hovering all over you. Hopefully to bed soon.
Have a wonderful week!
Friday: Up with the baby at around 7:30. Nursed while watching the Today show. Ate breakfast while he hung out in his bouncy seat. Put the baby down a bit later. Took a shower. Various puttering around the house. Nursed again around 10:30. Some playing and cuddling time. More puttering. Laid down to take a little rest only to be ripped from my light sleep by a screaming baby who was clearly more than ready to eat. Nursed and snuggled. Finally got around to putting up the Christmas tree. Quick visit from a very sweet friend who came bearing baby gifts. More nursing. Ross got home around 6. Ate delicious chili (courtesy of a friend from church). More with the puttering. Bed.
Saturday: Again, up with the baby around 7:30 to nurse, eat breakfast, and play a bit. Shower. My mom arrived around 10 to babysit so Ross and I could go run some errands. Went out to Short Pump to stop by Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. Got some lunch. Came home. Nursed the baby. Took a nice, long nap. Hung out with the hubs. Watched The Dark Knight. Bed.
Sunday: That’s right, up around 7:30 with the baby to nurse and eat breakfast. Cuddled on the couch some. Watched him discover his hands with such enthusiasm that he repeatedly gagged himself. Put him down for his morning nap. Decided to go back to bed for a bit. Slept so effing hard until it was time to nurse him again. Chatted and cuddled with the hubs before showering. Went to a baby shower for a lovely lady from church. Met up with Ross and the baby at church for our first service since he was born. Spent most of the service nursing the baby, but still enjoyed seeing everyone. Picked up dinner on the way home. Watched the latest episode of The Office while eating. Started reading Twilight (OMG SO GOOD ALREADY). Nursed the baby. Tried to comfort him through his nightly battle with hiccups of death. Finally got him settled. Taking a quick break from cuddling with the hubs to write this post. Will nurse again soon before heading to bed for what will hopefully be a night of decent sleep.
Jackson is 4 weeks old tomorrow. I can’t even believe it. Hopefully this means that soon I will be able to accomplish more than nursing and cuddling during the day.
Friday: Nursed. Changed diapers. Repeat. Also some laundry and a short walk in there. Happy to see husband come home at around 3. Quick nap. Nursed again. Headed over to in-laws to drop off Jack so Ross and I could have a short evening to ourselves. Went and got BBQ and ice cream. Back to the in-laws to chat. Home, nursed again, watched True Blood, bed.
Saturday: Nursed. Changed diapers. Repeat. Got a couple naps throughout the day. Headed over to my dad’s for a belated Thanksgiving dinner. Much oggling over the baby. Slow drive home in the snow. Nursed again. More watching of True Blood and to bed.

Very long nap to recover from very long walk. Puttering and snuggling. Went to pick up dinner. Realized that some bastard had hit my car leaving a sizable dent and pulling off part of the bumper. Fumed. Called the insurance company. Fumed some more because I will now spend the last few days of my pregnancy dealing with insurance companies, deductibles, and repair shops. Watched The Office and Smallville. Started having contractions every 15 minutes starting at 9:30. Continued having contractions every 15 minutes until about 12:45am. Stopped having contractions. Cursed the heavens. Went to sleep.
Sunday: Woke up in a very bad mood over aforementioned ceasing on contractions. Took a shower. Got dressed. Greeted in-laws who came over for hopefully their last weekend of home improvement assistance before the baby comes. Church. Dinner of grilled cheese and tomato soup. Saturday: Slept in a bit and lounged around. Various household tasks. Lovely nap. Shower. Some puttering. Went to get dinner. Stopped by a party for a little bit. Home. Bed.
Sunday: Awoken by the doorbell randomly ringing at 5am. Made Ross go downstairs with the baseball bat. No one was there. Blamed it on the fact that we have a wireless doorbell and, sure, it could randomly go off. Stayed up for a bit to read and calm myself down after being sufficiently freaked out. Back to bed until 9ish. Up to go run bulletins for church. Home to shower. Lunch with in-laws. Home for a bit. Church. Home to do some work. To bed soon, I hope.
I am due in 10 days. I can’t even believe it.
Have a great week!
