Friday: Up to feed the baby. Took Ross to work. Home to put the baby down for his nap. Various cleaning of the house and work things. Shower. Out to meet my mom for lunch. Drove to the office to take part in the LemonAid stand. Got rained out. Headed home to put the baby down for his nap. Tried to rest myself, but it didn’t really work. Got the baby up. Did more work while the baby played. Picked Ross up from work. Headed to the in-laws for dinner. Came home and put the baby down for a nap. Cleaned the kitchen while Ross put together new IKEA stuff. Sorted through my closet and finally packed away my maternity clothes. Pull some stuff to give away. Couldn’t bring myself to get rid of the sweater I was wearing on the day I found out I was pregnant. Bed.
Saturday: Up to feed the baby. Went back to bed thanks to a husband taking over morning duty. Up to putter. Went to the Farmers’ Market to pick up vegetables and get lunch. Home to put the baby down for his nap. Rested and showered. Went to friends’ house for a cookout. Home to put the baby to bed. Watched “Thirteen” and thanked the Lord that I don’t yet have a daughter. Bed.
Sunday: Up to feed the baby. Did some work for church. Played with the baby. Put the baby down for his nap. Showered. Fed the baby lunch. Played with the baby and did some work while various plumbing things happened. Ended up heading to church with the baby on my own. Saw friends and chatted. Home to fixed plumbing and dinner ready. Ate while watching Gilmore Girls. Headed out to Target to pick up some things. Back home to do some more work. Bed soon.

Friday: Up to feed the baby. Welcomed the in-laws for painting at around 8:30. Put the baby down for a nap. Went back to bed myself. Yes, I slept while my in-laws painted my living room (Hey! They told us they wanted to. We told them we had made a promise to each other to not do ANYTHING on Friday. They insisted. We didn’t fight it.) Up to feed the baby lunch. Had lunch ourselves. Put the baby down for a nap. Went to Lowe’s to look at wallpaper and such. Home again. Played with the baby. Fed the baby dinner and put him down for the night. Played Scrabbled. Watched A LOT of Gilmore Girls. Bed.
Saturday: Up to feed the baby. Took a shower and puttered. Fed the baby lunch and headed out to the South of the James market. Picked up vegetables. Ate the best hot dog I’ve ever had. Home to put the baby down for his nap. Went to a lovely 4th of July picnic. Home in time to get the baby down for bed. Watched The Game Plan (WHAT? It was on Watch Instantly). Bed.
Sunday: Up to feed the baby. Played and then put him down for his nap. Took a nap myself. Up to go have lunch at Kitchen 64 with the in-laws. Home to put the baby down for his nap. Church. Home for dinner and baby’s bath and bedtime. Working now. Getting ready for next week.

Friday: Up to feed the baby and do some last minute tasks before leaving for the weekend. Handed the baby over to his grandmother for our first whole weekend away from each other. Some tears. Ate lunch. Hopped in the car and headed to Fredericksburg. Checked into our hotel. Got dressed and went to the wedding rehearsal. Rehearsed. Went to the rehearsal dinner. Had some wine. Good food and good time with friends. Back to the hotel. To bed.
Saturday: Up at 7:30 to pump. Tried to go back to sleep because I was not, at that moment, responsible for the care and feeding of another person. Couldn’t get back to sleep. Back up to take a shower. Went to breakfast with groom and company. Headed over to salon to meet up with the bride. Got my hair did. Didn’t have to pay. Went over to the ceremony site. Various bridesmaid’s activities. Walked down the aisle. Cried. Walked back up the aisle. Posed for pictures. Off to the reception. Ate some food. Drank some drinks. Cried some more. Did some dancing. Back to the hotel. Brief hang out before going to bed way too late.
Sunday: Up at 7:30 to pump. Managed to go back to sleep for a little while. Up to shower and head to post-wedding brunch. Stayed for a bit. Headed back to Richmond to see MAH BAYBEE. Was greeted with much smiling, giggling, and reaching out of pudgy arms for my face. Gave Ross his Father’s Day presents. Took a nap while the baby took his. Cuddled and played with the baby. Put him down after feeding him. Had to do much cuddling off and on for an hour because baby was either off because of his weird weekend or just needed to make up for lost time. Watched The Wire while eating 3 Monkeys takeout. Bed soon.

Fed the baby again. Walked over to get milkshakes and a brownie. Home for the baby’s second nap. Took a nap myself. Up to feed the baby again. Playtime. Baby’s dinner and bedtime. Ate our dinner. Watched The Wire. Read a little. Bed.
Sunday: Up to feed the baby. Breakfast and playtime. Put the baby down for his nap. Did some work. Ate some lunch. Did some more work. Headed out to church. Left church early to be home in time to greet our babysitter for the evening. Went to Can Can for dinner. Got appetizers, drinks, dinner, AND dessert. Home to a happy baby. Watched an episode of the The Wire. Did some work. Going to bed soon.

Saturday: Up way too early. Got myself ready. Fed the baby. Passed the baby off to my mom as Ross and I headed out for the Stride Through Time 10k. Completed the 10k without dying (there was no running, only striding, as the name suggests). Home to shower, eat, nap, and hang out with friends. Put the baby to bed. Did some work. Watched more episodes of My So-Called Life. Bed.
Sunday: Up to feed the baby. Ate breakfast. Put the baby down for his morning nap. Went back to bed to pass out for a good, long while. Lunch. Stopped by the store. Shower. Church. Fun playtime with the baby. Put the baby to bed. Dinner. Doing some work while watching Hancock. Bed soon.

Drove back into the city and pick up Ross for a business lunch-type-thing. Dropped Ross off. Went back home. Did some work. Headed back out with the baby to pick up church bulletins. Stopped at a playground to try out the baby swings. Home again. Dinner, bath, bed for the baby. Watched an episode of The Wire. Exhausted beyond belief. Went to bed.

Put the baby down for a nap. Took a nap with Ross. Up to get ready and go over to friends’ house for dinner. Had a great time. Home around 11:00. Bed late.

Friday: Up to feed the baby and get us ready for the day. Headed over to Henrico Doctors Hospital to have the follow-up ultrasound done on JR’s kidney. Was amused by the diversity of people in the Outpatient check-in area (including a dude in prison garb and shackles AND accompanied by SIX guards). Headed over to radiology and got things checked out. JR did great despite totally missing his morning nap. Things look good. Headed home to let JR get a little rest. Fed the baby and headed out to meet up with friends at Palani Drive. Ate lunch and then headed over to the UR campus to walk around. Stopped by a friend’s house so she could see the baby. Headed home to pass JR off to his dad. Freshened up and headed out to NY Deli with friends. Home around 10. To bed.
Saturday: Up to feed the baby. Took a shower. Went to lunch with the in-laws. Home to get everyone ready for an engagement party. Headed over to the West End for the party. Home to get the baby dinner and put him down. Ross headed out for a bachelor party. Stayed home, watched a little Real Housewives of New Jersey (those bitches be crazy!), and did some work. Bed.
Sunday: Up to feed the baby. My mom showed up around 9:30 to help me watch JR and our pastor’s baby while he and his wife had a lunch date. Took a quick rest. Headed to church. Home for dinner, bathtime, bedtime routine. Ate some leftover pizza for dinner. Watched about half an episode of The Wire. In bed by 10:30. Asleep by 11. WIN!
Friday: Up to feed the baby. Did various chores and what not. Put the baby down for his morning nap. Got myself showered. Fed the baby again and headed out to have lunch with my mom. Home again to get the baby down for his afternoon nap. Did some work. Out again to meet friends at Buzz & Ned’s for dinner. Headed home with Maura in tow while the boys went and saw Star Trek. Put the baby down for the night. Sat outside and drank some wine while chatting with Maura. To bed late.
Saturday: Up to feed the baby. Did some things around the house. Put the baby down for his morning nap. Various puttering and a shower. Got the baby up for another feeding and lunch. Hubs came home right around then. Put the baby down for his afternoon nap. Took a nap with the hubs, waking just as the baby did. Fed the baby again. Left the baby home with the hubs to go run some errands. Home to put the baby to bed, eat dinner, and watch a movie. Bed.
Sunday: Woke up to a crying baby at 6am (usually he wakes up at 7:30!) Went in a rubbed his belly and he went back to bed. Got a little more sleep. Fed the baby. Passed him off to his dad for my Mother’s Day morning of sleeping in. Woke up at around 10:30. Took a shower. Fed the baby again. Went out for my Mother’s Day afternoon of roaming around sans baby. Home around 2:45, just in time to drop things off at church and head to the Southside for dinner. Nice chats, good food. Home a little bit ago. Doing some work. Hoping to get to bed soon.

Friday: Spent the day putting the baby on a new feeding schedule. It went beautifully. I also got tons of work done. Overall the day was a success. I don’t really remember much else though.
Saturday: Spent the day trying to get some rest in preparation for our long night. Got the baby ready for his night with Grandma. Handed the baby over. Got showered and dressed and headed out to Charlottesville. Had an incredibly good time. Home very, very late.
Sunday: Up totally exhausted. Baby arrive home at around 9:30. Put him down for his nap and tried to take one myself. Took a shower. Did some work. Went to church. Watched the kids in the nursery. Got convinced by my husband to go out with friends for dinner. Met up with lovely ladies at Sticky Rice. Had a wonderful dinner. Home to work and go to bed.
If today was any indication of the rest of the week, it’s gonna be a doozey. BUT fun times are promised this weekend. Have a good one!
Friday: Woke up feeling relatively rested for the first time in a long while. Fed the baby. Did a little work. Took a shower. Fed the baby again and headed over the in-laws for a quick visit. Ran a few errands. Home so the baby and I both could get a little rest. Much nursing pain and woe, blah blah blah. Hubs came home for about 5 seconds before having to leave again for an overnight men’s retreat for church. Bathed and fed the baby. Put him down for the night. Lounged and relaxed. Bed.
Saturday: Up feeling much better about the whole nursing thing. Fed the baby. Much cuddling and playing. Took a shower. Left the baby for my mom and went to get a haircut. Came home and visited with my mom for a bit. Put the baby down for a nap while I did some work. Greeted the hubs. Took the baby to Wal-Mart for a quick, tiny grocery run. Home to feed the baby again. Matt and Maura came over for pizza, beer, milkshakes, and good chats. Fun times. To bed late.
Sunday: Up to to feed the baby. Ran a quick errand for church. Home to fold bulletins for church while listening to NPR. Playtime outside in the shade with the baby. Shower. Church. Potluck and meeting after church. Home to put the baby down for the night. Haven’t really had a meal today. Should fix that. To bed soon, I hope.
