A possible confession
I *may* have had four Grands! Butter Tastin’ Biscuits, five pieces of bacon, half a container of strawberries, and two glasses of milk for dinner.
Maybe.

When Ross and I got married we decided that if he cooked, I would clean.
Lately, I’ve still been cleaning but the cooking hasn’t so much been happening. To his credit, Ross has taken ownership of the situation and is doing his best to make amends.
And make amends he did…with the spectacular baked potato of spectacularness.
I would have taken a picture but I ate it too fast. The potato, not the picture. But I can tell you that it involved mayonaisse (otherwise known as the juice of the gods), butter (the other juice of the gods), sour cream (the other other juice of the gods), chives, and REAL bacon (as it said on the package).
Now, I’m wondering where the chocolate ice cream is.

Setting - my car, traveling East on Interstate 64
Me: (on the phone) Hi. Ok, what do I need to get from the store for dinner?
Ross: (also on the phone) Just some form of pasta, ground turkey, and some cheap cheese.
Me: Cheap cheese?
Ross: Yeah.
Me: Ok, love you bye.
~scene 2~
Setting - our house on Grayland Avenue
Ross: (shouting from the kitchen) Where’s the sheep cheese???!?!
Me: (shouting back from the living room) The what??!??!
Ross: (still shouting from the kitchen) The sheep cheese!
Me: (still shouting from the living room) Ohhhhhhhhhhh. That’s different than cheap cheese, huh?

Dude fell asleep watching downloaded episodes of Star Trek: Voyager. I’m on the other side of the Mac Book wondering when he’s going to get his tuckus in the kitchen and make me my grilled cheese sandwich.
This is what Ross is making for dinner right now. It is guaranteed to be delicious AND it’s all organic which makes it even better. I think I didn’t eat lunch today (how sad is it that I don’t even remember because I was to busy being busy) so I’m completely starving right now. OMG it’s ready. This is very exciting.
One interview down. It went well I think. I’m not going to say anything else for fear of jinxing it. The other interview that was also supposed to be today and then got move tomorrow has now been moved to Monday. So, I’ll have some time to breathe over the weekend.
All I want to do is eat pizza, but no. Ross is insisting that we not be fat. I spend all morning and afternoon not being fat so I feel like I should get a little break for dinner. But Ross spends all day being fat so he thinks he needs to be good at dinner. This could create some serious tension in our marriage.
Anyway, Ross and I went to Ellwood Thompson’s yesterday and got some of this “organic food” that all of you keep talking about. Friends, they have samples. It’s like Costco but with better lighting. Ross was appalled when I took more than one sample, but I maintain that if there is no sign discouraging multiple trips, then eat I will. We bought organic turkey, organic salad, organic salad dressing, organic smashed potatoes (I guess organic is too classy to be mashed), organic yogurt, and organic turkey dogs (which only have 6 grams of fat in them!) We had turkey burgers last night and you could actually tell the difference. The salad was crazy good, too. We’ll be having the turkey dogs tonight. I’ll be sure to let you know how it all went, what with you waiting at the edge of your seats and all.
I mean, I had the wonderful Christmas miracle as mentioned earlier, as well as a good day at school during which some of my kids gave me presents that I will actually use (including Bath & Body Work Brown Sugar and Fig scented lotion-mmmmmmm).
The gloriousness all continued when I got home. I had a nice nap and woke up to my hubs telling me that dinner was ready. He fixed fish sticks and macaroni, which was my most favorite thing to eat when I was little. Ross has been refusing to fix fish sticks since we got married, so this was all very exciting. While we ate we watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and I fell in love with Robert Downey, Jr. I was proud of myself for being in love with him because he is perhaps the most grown-up looking man that I’ve ever fallen in love with. Look:
Can we say handsome? Yes, we can, Mr. Downey, Jr., and you. are. it.
Along with that, tomorrow is my last day of work before winter break. I am very very excited.
