Brain dump
My officemate pointed out that we spend more time with each other than with our husbands. I realized that I totally don’t mind because we get along exceptionally well.
Quarter Life crushes my soul to the point where I need to cover my eyes and watch it through my fingers.
James and Jennifer have been gone just under 3 months. Only 21 more to go!
My mother-in-law is coming over tomorrow to reclaim her vacuum cleaner. The Dyson and I will have one more tryst before it leaves.
Today I was so glad I’m not a teacher anymore. I know how chaotic today was for them with the kids constantly saying, “It’s snowing! When are we going home?”
A friend reminded me of the fact that this is her first holiday season she’ll be spending along since her husband’s deployment to Iraq. I got a lump in my throat when she told me, mostly because I felt bad that it hadn’t occurred to me.

21 months doesn’t sound quite as overwhelming as 2 years. One day at a time, that’s the only way I can make it through without getting dizzy at the concept of being away for that length of time. One day at a time, and God’s gift of true friends like you, that’s what does it.
I haven’t watched any of Quarter Life yet myself, BUT I was just over at ABC.com checking out which shows you could watch online, the first two episodes of My So Called life are there for your viewing pleasure! (no one is sure if they will make any of the other 17 episodes available)
