Brain dump v.2

etc. — Valerie on January 29, 2008 at 10:13 pm

(v.1 found here)

I haven’t had caffeine for almost 9 days. I only had one headache during the entire withdraw process - many yawns, but just one headache.

I have an insatiable desire for water at all times now.

I’m in love with Millionaire Matchmaker, but I hate the matchmaker and the entire process disgusts me.

I’m currently reading Slaughterhouse Five. I know I should love it, but I kind of don’t.

The 100 calorie pretzel packets stocked in my office kitchen are one of the highlights of my day.

I have wanted to go to bed at 8:30 every night for the last three days.

The joy I get from eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch out of my Urban Outfitters bowls is somewhat irrational.

Your turn. Spill it…

  1. After a break from the South Beach Diet for the holidays I am back on it. I’m sorry. I can’t go back to whole wheat pasta. It’s just not right.

  2. Every morning, I buy a 20 ounce cup of coffee at 7-Eleven. I refill it once in the morning. Then I drink two 20 ounce cups of hot tea. Around lunchtime, I switch to water. [There was just a report on TV8 about the discovery of a severed head on the side of the road in the Outer Banks. Weird.] I am glad that our new corporate space not only has a lot of bathrooms, but that they’ve installed those new-fangled waterless toilets.

  3. I cannot turn down free food at work. Even if I’m not that hungry or feel like I probably shouldn’t eat it.

I am thirsty 24/7 too. I worry that perhaps I have developed diabetes but a doctor once told me that is nearly impossible since I’m young, not overweight, and generally healthy. I’m still worried that it’s not normal though.

I am embarrased about the state of my skin right now.

I was just a little cranky with a student right now bc she interrupted my voting for the Bloggie awards.

  4. You can develop type I diabetes at any age, with any body weight, and without any other health problems. Trust me–I know whereof I speak.

  5. The yawning that comes from no caffeine, I’m sorry to say, after 4 months of none, I’m still plagued by it.

The thirst thing is a problem for me too. The thirst and excessive peeing got me worried, so I got checked for diabetes one time. Negative.
