One doesn't *become* a Southern lady. You either are, or you're not. No amount of acclimation will make up for a lack of upbringing based on bare feet, good manners, and the mastery of puddling rather than sweating.

I'm seriously going to do this to my kids. No really. CRACKS ME UP! My mother told my brother and I, as children, that cadillacs were volkswagen bugs and vice versa. You can imagine the surprise on people's faces when we totally mis-identified the cars.

Dude, as a fellow target of the aforementioned breakfast ruse, I call bullsh** on the "bamboozled" thing. Because you know if you had a plate of them in front of you right now, you would devour them and melt with delight, much like butter on a flying saucer/lady finger. "Bamboozled"? I think not. More like "set free to discover the true simplicity of happiness." I do applaud you, however, for attempting to revive "bamboozled"--it is woefully underused.

That is creative parenting at its best. I always love the ever-exciting OPPOSITE DAY! Breakfast for dinner! It was a huge event for us as kids, but in retrospect probably was an excuse to just scramble up a couple eggs or, better yet, serve cereal for dinner.
