A birthday in review

First, thanks for all of the kind birthday wishes. Internets, you are too sweet.

So, my birthday. Here’s what I did…

1. Woke up and decided I would treat myself to a day of working from home because 1) I kinda felt like crap and 2) the thought of finding a piece of clothing still capable of covering my belly was quite daunting.

2. Worked in bed while watching The Golden Girls.

3. Had numerous IM/email conversations with people in which I freaked out about the baby, insisting that I can’t do this.

4. Got talked down off the ledge during said conversations by some very lovely people.

5. Had a good cry to relieve the tension.

6. Spent the rest of the day oscillating between doing work, going through lots of birthday wishes sent to me via facebook, reading the Internet, and nursing the monumental zit that the universe gave me as a birthday present.

7. Finally showered at around 2.

8. Watched an episode of Dr. Phil on the dangers of texting while driving.

9. Went to dinner with my hubs at Magianno’s for what was probably our last date for a while.

10. Came home to watch National Treasure: Book of Secrets and marveled at how old Nicolas Cage is.

11. Got my toenails painted by a very sweet and accommodating husband.

12. Read a little and fell asleep by 11:30.

Aside from the freak outs and the tension cry, it was a pretty good day.

  1. [...] I know a lot of people use their birthday as a time to wax poetic about what else they want to do with their lives and what not. I’m not going to do that. I’ve had one of the hardest and most wonderful years ever. Overall, things are good. Especially since this time last year I couldn’t even pain my own toenails. [...]
