One doesn't *become* a Southern lady. You either are, or you're not. No amount of acclimation will make up for a lack of upbringing based on bare feet, good manners, and the mastery of puddling rather than sweating.

The appointments get so much fun towards the end- so much anticipation. When does your Kathy class start? She is coming over for a visit to see Elena tomorrow for a postpartum visit- part of the Doula package. She just Doulad for our friends Beth and Josh. Elena is 4 weeks tomorrow. :)

Just a quick note... I was DREADING the gestational diabetes test. I hate super sweet things, and thought for sure I was going to throw up drinking it on an empty stomach. Good news - It wasn't even 1/8 as bad as I expected, and was pretty much a non-issue. (although I would still definitely classify the stuff you drink as un-tasty =) ) If you can imagine drinking jello before its hardened, or sno-cone syrup without the ice to water it down... that's pretty much what it tastes like. My doctor's office at least kept it refrigerated which I imagine helps a lot!
